Prof. Dr. Stephan Fritzsche is a theoretical physicist specializing in relativistic quantum dynamics and atomic physics.
His work focuses on the interaction of matter with intense light fields, particularly in the context of strong-field ionization,
highly charged ions, and free-electron laser (FEL) pulses. He has contributed significantly to the understanding of multi-photon
ionization, decay cascades, and correlated quantum systems. In addition to his research, Prof. Fritzsche develops computational
tools and community resources for use in atomic, plasma, and astrophysical physics. His methodologies combine many-body theory,
density matrix formalism, and computer-algebraic techniques to solve complex quantum systems.
